Proposed reserve revocation and sale of land

The Council is proposing to revoke the reserve status of two areas of land to enable the land to be sold and the proceeds to be transferred to Council’s reserves purchase and development account for the improvement, development or purchase of other reserves in accordance with its Reserves Strategy.

They are:

  1. An area of land measuring 108m² (more or less) being part of Hutt Recreation Ground being Lot 1 DP 405014 as described in the Computer Freehold Register as identifier 42063.
  2. An area of land measuring 136m² being Lot 2 DP 33801 and Lot 3 DP 29705. These properties are land locked and adjoin 21 Nelson Street and 24 and 26 Sydney Street.

Council is required to submit to the Minister of Conservation, for final approval, any proposal to revoke the reserve status following the consideration of submissions.

Written submissions regarding both proposals should be sent to Aaron Marsh, Hutt City Council, Private Bag 31912, Lower Hutt.

Submissions can be emailed, posted or hand delivered and must be received by 13 March 2012.
