Citizenship ceremonies

We hold citizenship ceremonies for Hutt residents who have recently been granted New Zealand citizenship.

Each year we hold four ceremonies for Hutt residents who have been granted citizenship. Each person takes part in the swearing-in process, then the Mayor presents them with their citizenship certificate.

Citizenship ceremonies take place in February, May, August and November.

Further information

Applications for citizenship are managed by the Department of Internal Affairs. For more information, visit the Citizenship – Raraunga section of their website.
