Funding available in your area and how it is allocated
Round 2 applications are now open for the Wainuiomata and Eastern (Naenae, Epuni, Waterloo and Waiwhetu) areas only. Funds administered by the Eastbourne, Petone, Northern, Central and Western Community Boards/Committees were fully allocated in the previous round.
The following funding is available:
To support community events and development, we have allocated $0.50 per head of population for each ward within Hutt City
Each community board (CB) and community committee (CC) is given the authority to allocate their funding for:
- Local activities
- Local events
- Modest projects that support community development
The CB/CC may allocate all available funding to one worthy project or support a number of smaller projects.

If you’re successful in gaining funding, you’ll need to submit a short accountability form and report within six weeks of the completion date of your event/activity.
You may also be asked to present this in person to a CB/CC meeting, showing how your event/activity met its objectives.
