Get out and about, see the sights, get your heart rate up, get a dose of culture and meet new people. We aim to provide a great mixture of fun trips, events and exercise options to help keep you active and well.

Get Going: seniors exercise classes

Come along and try some of our new group fitness classes to add some variety and fun to your day. More people equals more fun!

We all know that regular exercise can benefit everybody. It can help manage diabetes, increase mobility and muscle strength, reduce blood pressure, and is also great for osteoporosis and weight loss. But, best of all it’s a great opportunity to meet some new friends and have fun while doing it.

All classes have been specially adapted to the older persons needs, so come along and give them a go. All Hutt City Council classes are delivered by qualified and experienced instructors.

What if a trip/class is fully booked?

When a trip/class is full you’ll be put on a waiting list. If a place becomes available, we’ll let you know!

In what circumstances will a trip be cancelled?

We need a minimum number of participants for each trip/class to cover the costs and keep the prices down for you. We’ll let you know as early as possible if there are still places free so you can encourage a friend or family member to join you.

If we do need to cancel a trip/class, your pre-payment can be transferred to another trip/class or refunded. The pre-pay date is two weeks before the trip, unless otherwise indicated.
